GRANBURY - Deanna Vira Cook, 94, passed away Friday, Sept. 8, 2017.
Deanna was born Dec. 30, 1922, in Monroe County,Tenn., to Sam Russell and Nellie Hitson Russell. She married Willis G. Cook Nov. 8, 1939, and moved to Texas in 1951. She retired from Safeway Grocery.
Deanna was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Cook; granddaughter, Susan Cook; and seven siblings.
Survivors: Children, Charles Cook and wife, Martha, Elizabeth Ann Penrod and husband, Gerald, Guy Cook, and Larry Cook and wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Tracey Van Randen, Brian Cook, Glenn Penrod, Melodie Penrod, Michelle Tennison, Cliff Cook, Patty Kenney, Missy Geiske and Jeff Cook; sister, Freda Schrimsher; brother, James Russell; 18 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
