Gary Hogg, 78, of Cincinnati passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Gary was born in Leon, Iowa to Edward & Flossie (Carson) Hogg on January 15, 1939. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Saldana. To this union were seven kids: Gary Jr., Theresa, Tammy, Rosita, Jason, Bobby and Kenny.

Gary worked construction for a time, he worked on a crew that built a portion of Interstate 80. He was also employed by Jeff Scott Metals in Centerville. Gary enjoyed fishing, camping, watching westerns and sitting out on his front porch, drinking a beer or having a chew while watching the cars pass.

Nancy Gray and his significant other Sherry Oden of Cincinnati. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn, four siblings: Audrey Hogg, Oney Hogg, Ned Hogg, Howard Hogg and a granddaughter, Danielle Stroud.

Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow in Oakland Cemetery.
