Diane Florence Acker

CROSS PLAINS-Diane Florence Acker, born December 14, 1941, passed away peacefully in her home in Cross Plains, WI, on September 25, 2017. Diane was born to Michael and Kunigunda (Karls) Kessenich in Ashton Corners, WI. She married John H. Acker of Cross Plains February 5, 1959. Diane was a homemaker and devoted mother of five. She enjoyed many hobbies including painting, gardening, puzzles, crocheting, bird watching (particularly Hummingbirds!) and playing euchre with her husband as her partner. She loved the holidays and Sunday chili where there was delicious food and lots of laughter.  Diane is survived by her children Bonnie (Kevin) Buck, Arena, Joanie (David) Hyatt, Waunakee, Nancy (Terry) Yaeger, Waunakee, John (Tracy) Acker, Lone Rock, Joe (Rachel) Acker, Cross Plains; grandchildren Kevin Buck, David (Katherine) Hyatt, Heather (Greg) Owens, Amber Yaeger, Johnny (Casey) Acker, Melissa (Robin) Forseth, Amanda (Brian) Lundin, Monica Acker and great-grandchildren David Hyatt, Allison Anderson-Acker, Henry Lundin. Acker; her parents Michael and Kunigunda Kessenich; son John H Acker Jr.; granddaughter Ashley Diane Hyatt;  sisters, Marie Schulenburg and Ruth Ziegler; brother Larry Kessenich; brothers-in-law Jerry Bong, Leander, Edward and Elmer Acker, Lavern Lamberty , and Donald Kelter; sisters-in-law Milly Kelter, Sister John Rose Acker, Margaret Lamberty; her loving cat Mama Kitty and her faithful dogs Yukon and Smokey.  Diane is further survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends and her loving cats Paws and Gus.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes St., Cross Plains, WI at 11:00am Thursday, September 28, 2017 with Father Thomas Kelley presiding, Burial will be in the St Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery.
