Marvin Gene Lyons

Mr. Marvin Gene Lyons (69) went home to be with the Lord on September 21, 2017 in Sunrise, FL. Marvin was a native of Carlyss, LA, the youngest of six children, to his parents, August and Edith Lyons. He was a proud member of the United States Army and Marines, serving in Germany and the United States and was a student of Cornerstone Bible College in San Antonio, TX. He married Karen Lyons and moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL where he worked as an HVAC journeyman for three decades. He was also a dedicated member of The Bridge Church, formerly Covenant Life Christian Church. He retired in 2009 and remained dedicated to his family and his church, serving in any capacity he could. He is best remembered for his heart of service and love of God and will be missed by his family and church community. Mr. Lyons is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karen Lyons of Sunrise , FL and six children.
