Christina was born March 7, 1959 to Pedro & Florencia Castillo in Rio Rico Tamaulipas Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents & brother, Jorge Efrain Castillo. Christina is survived by her husband, Jesus Cardenas of Weslaco, TX; 3 daughters, Vanessa Veronica Vela (Jesse Gonzalez) of Harlingen, TX, Cristina Arianna Vela (Leonel Rodriguez), Sabel Yessel Vela (Robert Marez), both of Weslaco, TX; 1 son, Pedro Antonio Vela of Weslaco, TX; 3 brothers, Pedro Alberto Castillo (Carmen), Arturo Castillo (Rosa), both of Weslaco, TX, Sergio Castillo (Maria) of Mercedes, TX & 2 sisters, Milagros Castillo (Alejandro Martinez) of Mission, TX & Florencia Peña (Joel) of Weslaco, TX. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017 with a 7:00 p.m. rosary at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens.
