David A McIlrath

David A McIlrath, age 65, went home to be with Lord on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. He was born on January 14, 1952 in Lafayette, Indiana to Dan & Martha (McCord) McIlrath. Dave married his wife, Kathryn (Fleming), on December 28, 1970 in Kokomo, Indiana. Dave was a graduate of Northwestern High School & Purdue University. Throughout his career, he worked at Midstates Steel & Wire, General Foods, Caterpillar Tractor Company and retired from General Electric in Evendale, Ohio. He was a kind, gentle man who loved his family. Dave enjoyed hunting weekends with the boys and watching the many sports and music activities that his grand children were involved in. His great-grandson Davey brought him much joy and happiness. He was a "fixer and builder". Dave loved working with his hands and helping his family with home improvement projects. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and loved the Lord.
