Kohl Construction. Carol was known for her Saturday homemade bread and Sunday night chocolate cake. Their home became the hub to many family gatherings. The yard was always full of kids. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, UMW and Naomi Circle. Survivors include four children, Bill Kohl (Carolyn) Tipton, Barbara Anderson of Iowa City, Beverly Ehresman (Jim) Tipton, and Shirley Ryan (Mike) Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Carolyn Ann Gritton, Courtenay Villhauer, Jamey Varney, Jody Crooks, Jeffrey Ehresman, David Ryan, and Russell Ryan; eighteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, two infant sons Ronald and Raymond, her parents, four brothers; Vernon Howe, Clarence Howe, Marlin Howe, and Earl Howe, and six sisters; Delight Sterner, Mabel Elsome, Marion Behrens, Mildred Swider, Cathernine Phelps, and Martha Howe. Carol will be missed by the many lives she touched. A memorial has been established in Carol's name.
