Roger Rochleau

Roger Eugene Rochleau was born in rural Algona, Iowa, the son of Victor and Ola Blue Rochleau. He attended Cresco Township #4 Country School until going to Algona to start 8th grade. Roger then went on to attend Algona High School graduating in 1959. After his schooling he farmed with his father until entering the United States Army in 1964. Upon being honorably discharged in January of 1966 he returned to the Algona area to farm with his father. On August 13, 1967, Roger was united in marriage to Louise Paulsen in Ringsted, Iowa. After their marriage the couple lived on the family farm until 1970 when they moved to their current farm. Roger enjoyed working and being on the farm, raising cattle, dancing,music, was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan and enjoyed having coffee and conversation with friends. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he served as an usher; past officer with the Kossuth County Cattlemen's Association, was a 4-H Partner in the calf program and had also worked with the ASCS Office as a grain inspector and was a past County Committee Member. e age of 63. He is survived by his wife, Louise of LuVerne, Iowa; and a son Joel Rochleau of Fayette, Iowa. Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Joanne and husband William Leek of Algona, Iowa; Ron Rochleau and wife Renee of Whittemore, Iowa; Richard Rochleau and wife Mary of Kennewick, Washington; Carolyn and husband Eulan Schuller of Algona, Iowa; Gary Rochleau and wife Jan of Dallas Center, Iowa; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
