Steven Richard Freeman

Steven Richard Freeman, age 63 of Winchester, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at his residence. He was the son of the late Carl Frank Freeman, Sr. and Maxine Elizabeth Harris Freeman. Bro. Steve enjoyed preaching for almost 50 years, including 19 years as pastor of Calvary Baptist Church followed by 15 years of traveling all over the Southeast in Evangelism. He enjoyed family, sharing the gospel, spoiling his grandkids, and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John (Wanda) Freeman. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Barbara Freeman; sons, Brent (April) Freeman of Pleasant View, TN, Keith (Leslie) Freeman of Christiana, TN and Mark (Christen) Freeman of Belvidere; brother, Frank (Tommie) Freeman of Calhoun, GA; sisters, Margaret (Ed) Kilgore of Cherokee, NC and Annette (Phil) Tallent of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Emily, Brooke, Mia, Melanie, Grace, Dylan, Ethan, Zach, Lucas and Hailey Freeman; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
