A time of visitation will be from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, Monday, October 16, 2017, also at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Iowa Falls. Josephine was united in marriage to Harold Ervin Purvis on September 20, 1981 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Josephine "Jo" Bertha Purvis is survived by her sister: Katherine Lindaman of Wellsburg, Iowa; three step daughters: Barbara Kuhlman of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Karen Hesser of Boone, Iowa, and Debbra [Don] Laneville of Medina, Ohio; nine step grandchildren; 18 step great-grandchildren; two nephews: Vince [Roxanne] Lindaman of Ackley, Iowa and Tim [Lisa] Lindaman of Hubbard, Iowa; a niece: Nancy [Bill] Levesque of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; and seven grand nieces and nephews. Josephine Bertha Purvis was preceded in death by her parents: Gottfried "Fred" and Caroline Gross; a brother in infancy; her first husband: Elmer Finke, her second husband: Harold Ervin Purvis; four sons in infancy; son-in-law: Ron Kuhlman; brothers-in-law: Harold Lindaman and Bob Buckles.
