Jeffery "Touie" Lutgen

Jeffery R. "Touie" Lutgen, 52, of La Porte City died Sunday, October 15, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from injuries sustained in a bicycle accident. He was born December 15, 1964, in Waterloo, the son of Richard and Carol Schmit Lutgen. He married Deanna "DeeDee" Frost on September 13, 1986 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilbertville. Jeff was employed with Omega Cabinets for 33 years and most recently with Jesse Jeffries Cabinets. Survivors include: his wife, DeeDee of La Porte City; his son, Jake of La Porte City; his daughter, Ashley (Dustin) Gruver of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Mason, Declan, and expecting Baby Sprinkles; two brothers, Rick (Callie) and Jason (Dawn) all of Gilbertville; two sisters, Paula (Jeff) Ortner of Gilbertville and Patti (Mike) Wilson of Jesup. Preceded in death by: his parents; a niece, Jersey Lutgen. Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 19, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with inurnment at St. Mary's Cemetery, both in Gilbertville.
