BJ Tomlinson

BJ "John Ryan" Tomlinson, 37, of Evansdale, Saturday, October 14, 2017 in Waterloo. He was born April 14, 1980 in Waterloo, IA, the son of John L. Tomlinson and Lee Ann Davis. BJ married Amanda Hammond in 2006 in Waterloo; they later divorced BJ attended Iowa Central College and received a Welding and Blue Prints degree. He worked at Martinson Construction, and most recently at Sampson Fabrication.                    BJ was a professional boxer and he was undefeated. He lived and breathed boxing, his boxing and life coaches, Steve Rice and Greg Boyer, meant very much to him. BJ was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and loved to make people laugh. He was a member at Grace Baptist Church and Cedar Valley Boxing Club.                          BJ is survived by his mother: Lee Ann (John Hoffer) Davis of Evansdale, IA, two sons, Logan Jacobs of Bettendorf, IA and Mason Tomlinson of Waterloo a daughter: Amaya Tomlinson of Waterloo, IA, paternal grandparents: Anthony (Patricia) Fretto, of Webster, NY, seven nieces, Jade, Peyton, Piper, Josilyn, TaLeigha, Alessandra and Dazire and three nephews, Jarred, John and Izavion.
