Judy Charleen Chapman

Judy Charleen Chapman, 75, of New London, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at New London Specialty Care. She was born January 13, 1942 in Denmark to Glenn and Dorothy Pickle Blint. She married Clifton Chapman on January 20, 1967 in Denmark. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2012. Mrs. Chapman graduated from Denmark High School and was of the Christian faith. She worked at Vega in Mt. Pleasant; JI Case; and retired as a machine operator at Mackay. Judy enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, canning and time spent with family and especially her grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters; Lesa Swailes, Kim (Eric) Strothman and Pam Chapman (Harold Pohren); one son, Rusty (Terrie) Chapman, all of New London; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters; Jennie Morris of Warsaw, Illinois, Janie Blint of Mt. Pleasant and Janette (Todd) Wolfe of New London; six brothers; Richard (Janet) Blint of Denmark, Gary (Vicky) Blint of West Point, Roger (Rena) Blint of Denmark, Sam (Barb) Blint of New London, Ike (Peggy) Blint of West Point and Steven (Kathy) Blint of Denmark; nieces, nephews and aunts. by three brothers; Harvey, Greg and Denny and a son-in-law, Marty Swailes. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 Saturday at Lowell Cemetery with Reverend Troy Weigert officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for New London Fire and Rescue. Elliott Chapel, New London, is assisting the family with arrangements.
