Irene R. Klein

Burial: Calvary Cemetery ~ Algona, Iowa Irene R. Klein was born April 26, 1915 at Sexton, Iowa daughter of Joseph and Mary (Schaben) Cink. She attended school in the area and graduated from Wesley High School in 1932 and attended Iowa Teacher's College in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Following her schooling, she taught in a country school south of Sexton. Irene was married to Arthur A. Klein on December 29, 1936 at St. Benedict, Iowa. The couple farmed in the area and moved to their present farm ½ mile east of Sexton in March, 1942, where Irene resided until moving into Westview Care Center in Britt. Irene was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church and at one time the Sexton Friendly Club. She enjoyed her family, friends and grandchildren, playing cards and games with them. She also enjoyed sewing, baking, canning, gardening and her flowers.
