Daniel Lee Garman was born on July 1, 1952, in Algona, Iowa, to Edward and Arlene Studer Garman. He graduated from the Corwith-Wesley High School in 1970. After his schooling, Dan worked at Winnebago Industries in Forest City, Iowa for 2 years. On October 14, 1972, Dan was married to Rebecca O'Hern at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley, Iowa. The couple lived in Wesley, where Dan worked for the K & H Coop for the next 35 years.
Dan was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley. He had also belonged to the Wesley Fire Department for over 20 years and coached Little League Baseball in Wesley for 25 years. Dan enjoyed fishing and working in his yard. He also enjoyed playing pool when he was younger.
Dan died on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at the Kossuth Regional Hospital in Algona, Iowa. He was 55.
