Bernida’s favorite interests were gospel, blues and jazz music and started playing the piano at age 10 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church and continued at New Hope Baptist Church.  She loved cowboy tv programs. Bernida traveled as much as she could, some overseas, however, most of her travel was in the US to different churches playing in and being a part of their gospel programs. Bernida worked for Dr Robert and Sue Stephens at St. Vincents’ hospital.
