David Gray Grant

David Gray Grant, age 61 of Winchester, born September 19, 1952, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 29, 2013 with his wife and three daughters at his bedside. David was owner and operator of D. G. Grant Trucking for 34 years and drove over 4 million miles in his career. In the mid 70s, he was employed by Franklin County, Tennessee as Building Commissioner and Zoning Inspector. Mr. Grant graduated from Franklin County High School in 1971 and Middle Tennessee State University in 1975 with a degree in Criminal Justice. He was a lifelong member of Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church. David was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. H. T. Grant and Mrs. Alice Price Grant; his maternal grandparents, Mr. Carl Frank Gray and Mrs. Nora B. Rogers Gray; his father, Herman Edwin Grant; his mother, Frankie Gray Bell; and step-father, Frank Bell, all of Winchester.
