Lizzie Lear Walls

Lizzie Lear Walls, age 94 of Decherd, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at The Waters of Winchester. A native of Franklin County, she was born on March 31, 1922 to the late Johnson and Mary Coker Walls. A devout Christian Lady, Lizzie enjoyed crocheting, sewing, flower gardening, and reading. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings, William Walls, Annie Margaret Walls, Ollie Mae Walls, Andrew Jake Walls, Oma Dell Walls, Preston Walls, and Laura Jean Walls. Lizzie is survived by her sister, Mary Sue Walls (Jack) Thompson; brother, James (Jane) Walls; special niece and caregiver, Lisa Thompson; several nieces and nephews; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 29, 2016 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Virgil Crisp and Rev. J.T. Steele officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
