Mrs. Glyndon Vera Louise Waggoner Cannon, age 88 of Lynchburg, was born December 12, 1928, in Lincoln County TN to the late Johnny D. and Lucy Angeline Nobles Waggoner. She departed this life March 18, 2017, at St. Thomas Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN. Mrs. Cannon became a Christian at an early age. She was a faithful member of Elm Street Church of Christ in Lynchburg, TN. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Joe Thomas Cannon, a union which lasted more than 50 years. To this union seven children were born. Mrs. Cannon graduated from Lincoln County High School. She retired from Tyson Foods, Shelbyville, TN, and she also worked at Mrs. Bobos Boarding House, Lynchburg, TN. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cannon is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Joe Thomas Cannon; daughter, Betty Marie Cannon; son, Joe Monroe Cannon; son-in-law, Willis Taylor Sr; daughter-in-law, Pamela Cannon; and sister, Christine Bones; brother, Willie Blake Waggoner; sister-in-laws, Betty Lou Bean, Annie G. Cannon leaves to mourn her passing; three daughters, Ms. Margaret Readus, Lynchburg, TN; Mrs. Delores Taylor, Winchester, TN; and Mrs. Wanda (Roi) Templeton, Louisville, KY; two sons, Mr. John T. (Marilyn) Cannon, Park City, TN; and Mr. Donald Cannon, Lynchburg, TN; Stepson, Mr. David (Juanita) Hester, Dalton, IL; Brother, Mr. Johnny D. Waggoner, Chicago, IL; Sisters-in-Laws, Alice Sue Bailey, Lynchburg, TN, and Winnie Cannon, Bainbridge, GA; Brother-in-Law, Fred Bean, Lynchburg, TN; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-two great grand-children; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Visitation will be held from 12-1 PM Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Elm Street Church of Christ, 44 Elm Street North, Lynchburg, Tennessee 37352.
