Robert W. Weddington

Robert W. Weddington age 75, of Decherd, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 24, 2017 at his home. On February 12, 1942 in Decherd, TN the late Pete and Mae Weddington welcomed to the world one of their eight children Robert. He worked for the Railroad for a number of years and attended New Brick Church of Christ. In his younger years Robert loved to dance especially line dancing. He also enjoyed fishing, watching the Price is Right and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Weddington; son, Martin Weddington; sister, Frances Durham; and brothers, Edward Weddington and George Weddington. Robert is survived by his sons, Robert Weddington Jr. of Decherd and Greg (Kristal) Weddington of Decherd; daughter, Kimberly (Terry) Curtis of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Bradley Weddington, Adam Weddington, Mercedes Castillo, Jodie McCutcheon, Britnee Weddington, Chase Weddington, Laurana Smith, Kristopher Weddington, Terry Curtis Jr., Piper Curtis and Dominic Curtis; several great-grandchildren; and sisters; Maggie Lee Fanning of Decherd, Lucille Swift of Tullahoma, Mary Lou Rowland of Decherd and Bet...[more]
