Robert A. Burk

Robert A. "Bob" Burk, 68, died Saturday, October 21, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.  He was born October 6, 1949 in Waterloo, the son of Clyde August and Isabelle Marie (Warmuth) Burk.  Bob graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1967.  He was united in marriage with Sandra Kay Coontz on June 26, 1976 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Waterloo.  He began his work career at Titus Manufacturing and then worked for John Deere & Co. for 34 years until retirement. His parents were charter members of Concordia Lutheran Church; Bob was a lifelong member and a member of UAW Local 838. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling and going fishing and treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.  Survivors include his wife, Sandra Burk of Waterloo; a daughter, Kristal Leigh Burk (Luke) Wadey of Allison, IA; a son, Ryan (Caroline) Burk of Denver, IA; four grandchildren, Kahri, Kennedy, Allie and Lucy; and two sisters, Lillian "Kay" Robbins of Sumner, IA and Nancy (Larry) Seery of Cedar Falls, IA.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ronald in infancy and Richard Burk and a brother-in-law, Myron Robbins.
