Mary Colleen Urso
MIDDLETON-Mary Colleen Urso passed into Heaven peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017. Mary Colleen Doyle was born on March 23, 1934, the daughter of Leo "Pat" and Nina Doyle in Madison. Mary graduated from Edgewood High School in 1953. She married, Ken Urso, the love of her life on Feb. 12, 1955 at St. Raphael Catholic Church and devoted her life to caring for her family. Mary was an amazing cook, something she took great joy in doing not only for her family and friends but also for many large dinner gatherings for the family business. Family was very important to her, family always came first. She also spent many years volunteering in the communities where they lived. Mary is survived by her loving husband, Ken; four children, Lynn (Rick) Reed, Joe Urso, Jeff (Cheryl) Urso, Mike (Cheryl) Urso. Mary also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, Brent (Kristy) Reed, Scott (Amy) Reed, Kelly (Chris) Kuenzi, Ken and Brian Urso, Chris (Leah) Urso, Mandy (Wes) Quam, Seth Urso, Lyssi (Connor) Urso, Tim Urso, Michelle (Matt) Hill, Brittany (Kyle) Jones; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her son, John Timothy Urso in 1981; her parents; sisters, Pat Bauhs and Jean Maglio; brother, Jim Doyle; and brothers-in-law, Dick Bauhs and Fred Heiman. The family would like to thank all the many friends, family, and medical staff that have been there for her throughout the past few months. A special thank you Dr. Kostelyna, Caryl Rorge and SSM Health at Home Hospice for their help in navigating through this difficult time. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that you do a good deed for someone. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARIA GORETTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5313 Flad Avenue, Madison, on Tuesday, Oct. 31 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor Michael L. Burke presiding. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.
