White Funeral Home 1315 Main Street Jesup, Iowa 50648 Jesup - Seth Stephen Seibert, 36 years old of rural Independence, IA died Sunday, October 29, 2017, at the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence, as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident earlier Sunday. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. - Friday, November 3, 2017, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, IA, with burial at St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery in Jesup. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA. There will not be visitation before services Friday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family. Seth was born November 4, 1980, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Steven Lee Seibert and Shirley A. (Putz) Seibert. He graduated from Jesup High School, Jesup, IA, with the class of 1999 and recently graduated from Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, IA, with an Associate Degree in Heating and Cooling. He was currently employed at the John Deere Foundry in Waterloo, IA and was a member of UAW Local #838 in Waterloo. friends. On February 12, 2012, Seth was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Melissa Jo Dahl in Las Vegas, Nevada. His wife, Melissa Seibert, survives along with their two sons, Brendon Seibert and Landon Seibert, both at home. Also surviving is his; father, Steven (Nancy Hatfield) Seibert of Manchester, IA; paternal grandmother, Shirley Seibert of Greeley, IA; maternal grandmother, Grace Putz of Manchester, IA; sister, Sara Strauel of Iowa City, IA; brothers, Scott (Kim) Helmrichs of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Kurt (Jody) Hatfield of Earlville, IA, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Strauel; paternal grandfather, Leon Seibert; maternal grandfather, Fred Putz; and a brother, Robert Hatfield.
