Robert Elkins

Robert Neal Elkins, 65, of Greeley passed away November 13, 2017 at his home.
He was born April 23, 1952 in Portland, OR to Frank and Jewel (Chain) Elkins. Robert received his GED in 1971 and graduated with an Iron Workers Apprenticeship. On June 5, 1971 he married Veronica Rose Vigil in Loveland, CO.
Robert was employed as a welder for Public Works Department in Greeley. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, making jewelry, collecting guns and Indian pottery.
He was a member of Colorado Taxidermist Association, Colorado Waterfowl Association, Ironworkers Local and St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.
Robert is survived by his wife Veronica Rose Elkins; in-laws, Rose and Gus Vigil; sister, Teresa (Greg) Doty and children, David, Maria, Eric, Anna, Isaac, Josiah Chavez, Nicole and Chris Russell; brother Greg (Amy) Vigil and children, Lauren, Brandon, Emily Brunetti and Rachel Vigil; brother Eugene (Elisa) Vigil, and children Denver and Aspen Vigil; half sister, Kathleen Poor; step sister Jeri( Phil) Jones; and many half brothers and sisters in Salem, OR.
