rmy and she worked at the base hospital as a secretary. Upon Johns discharge from the Army, the couple moved to their farm north of Fairview where Shirley delighted in being a farm wife, homemaker and mother to their two daughter. Later in their lives, John and Shirley enjoyed spending winters at the second home in Fort Myers, FL. Shirley was a member of the Fairview Reform Church where she was active in the womens Guild and loved teaching Sunday School to kindergartners for over 30 years. She also was a member of the Fairview Womens Club and Friendly Circle Club. Shirley enjoyed playing bridge, collecting antiques, entertaining, cooking, traveling, and studying the Bible. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends whom she cherished so much. The family would like to thank the kind and compassionate staff at Red Oak Estates and Memory Car for their friendship and wonderful care of their mother and grandmother.
