Steven L. Hayes Canton Steven L. Hayes, 58, of Canton passed away Friday June 9, 2017 at Sunset Manor in Canton after a five year battle with muscular dystrophy. He was born on June 12, 1958, in Jacksonville to Clarence and Doris (Hollaway) Hayes Surviving is his significant other of 22 years, Diana Grigsby, of Canton, one child Andy Hayes, of Meredosia Illinois, one brother Denny (Judy) Hayes, one sister Penny Hayes and three grandchildren Megan Hayes, Ashley Hayes, and Michael Hayes He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Eddy and Tommy Hayes, and one sister Connie Maxwell. Steven was a factory worker for many years. He was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
