Kay Marie McKinney Canton Kay Marie McKinney, 82, of Canton passed away at 4:50 am, Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Red Oak Estates in Canton. She was born on October 13, 1934 in Canton to Lester and Leta (Hammond) Derrickson. Kay married Ray McKinney on December 23, 1953 in Canton. He survives along with three children; Dianna McKinney of Canton, Derrick (Lyn) McKinney of Peoria, and Tammy (JC) Barnard of Canton, brother Robert Derrickson of Canton, sister Loretta Harper of Hopedale, six grandchildren; Jeremy (Rebecca) Bender, Bret (Jannaya) Merna, TJ Barnard, Wesley McKinney, Matthew (Cassie) McKinney, Nicholas McKinney and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Gene Derrickson. Kay worked for Illinois Bell, Daily Ledger, and later for International Harvester Company Credit Union. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother with a strong Christian faith. Kay was a member of the First Baptist Church in Canton. Services will be 2 pm Friday, November 18, 2016 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton where visitation will be one hour prior to services. The Rev. Monroe Bailey will officiate.
