Ronald L. "Sonny" Camp

Ronald Sonny Camp Elmwood Ronald L. Sonny Camp, 85, of Elmwood, died at 11:55 P.M. Thursday June 4, 2015 at Heartland Health Care Center in Canton. He was born on April 1, 1930 in Williamsfield to Marion and Florence (Kauffman) Camp. He married Marjorie Harkness on October 20, 1950 in Elmwood. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, four children Ronald D. (Shelley) Camp of Prescott Valley, AZ, Gary W. (Karen) Camp of Flint, TX, Rick (Jo) Camp of Elmwood and Dennis (Heidi) Camp of Bullard, TX, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one sister Lavonne (Robert) Rushing of Elmwood. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ross Gibson. Sonny retired from Caterpillar Mossville Plant in 1982 with 33 years of service. He was a member of Elmwood United Methodist Church. Sonny loved his children and grandchildren, and enjoyed the art of woodworking. In his early years he was a Cub Scout Leader and was a coach for Little League Baseball for many years. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Monday, June 8 at the Elmwood United Methodist Church, where visitation will be held two hours prior. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood.
