Eva I. Moorhouse

Eva Moorhouse Canton Eva I. Moorhouse, 98, of Canton, died at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Renaissance Care Center in Canton. She was born in Middlegrove, IL on November 29, 1916 to Clifford and Jessie (Wheeler) Jacobus. She married Robert Bob Moorhouse in Kahoka, MO on May 21, 1939. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1985. Surviving is her daughter Susan (the late Rob) Nolan of Canton, two grandchildren Lyn Spenny-Donaho of Canton and Mike Spenny of Louisiana, one great granddaughter LaNaya Donaho of Canton, and two great-great grandchildren Caleb and Chloe Ellis of Canton. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Julie Ann and two sisters Irene (Charles) Heald and Marie (Stan) Kuchan. Eva graduated from Canton High School and Graham Hospital School of Nursing. She retired from Graham Hospital after 30+ years as a surgical nurse. She was a life-long member of the Canton First Baptist Church. She volunteered for several years at Santa Jos Workshop. Over the years she made hundreds of baby blankets and childrens quilts to give away. Visitation will be held 1-2 p.m. on Friday February 6 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton.
