Billy "Bill" Chase, 85 of Allen, Nebraska, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017 near Allen, NE. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Wakefield Christian Church. Burial will be in Springbank Cemetery, Allen, NE. United States Army will provide the Military Honors. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Thursday, November 16 at Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca. Billy "Bill" Chase was born May 8, 1932 in Allen, Nebraska, the son of Clinton and Anna (Christopherson) Chase. Bill grew up in Allen, graduating in 1952 from Allen High School. He joined the Army in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1955. Bill married Arlene Backman December 30, 1952 in Ponca. Together they made their home in Sioux City, IA, Jackson, NE, and in 1968, they moved to a farm near Allen, NE. Over the years he worked at Armour Packing and was self employed. Bill was a member of Wakefield Christian Church. He loved spending time with his wife and family. He also enjoyed being outside working on the farm.
