Richard Long Canton- Richard Long, 79, of Canton passed away Tuesday November 21, 2017 at Graham Hospital in Canton. He was born on June 8, 1938 in Canton to Louis and Margaret (Henry) Long. He married Carolyn "Kay" (Fouts) on May 28, 1977 on horseback at the Heart of Illinois Arena in Peoria. Surviving are his wife and five children Debbie (Kevin) Latimer, Mark (Barb) Long, Joe (Tammy) Long, Marty (Diane) Green, and Kim (Mark) Freiley, one brother Jerry (Diane) Long, eight grandchildren, Nathan (Tonja) Mallicoat, Amanda (Craig) Reed, Jessica (Ronnie) Williams, Madison Long, Zachary (Abbey) Freiley, Ashley (Fiancée Rich) Freiley, Kennedy Green, Elliott Green and two twin Great Grandchildren Rylee and Baylee Reed. Preceding him in death are his parents and one brother Ronnie Long. Richard first worked at Hiram Walker Distillary in Peoria for 17 years he then owned and operated L&L used car lot in Canton for 46 years starting in 1971, he was a member of the Glass Favorites Corvette Club and Enjoyed horses for many years.
