Frances Tuck Hogan passed from life on earth on November 11, 2017.
Frances was born February 22, 1927, and raised in Cedartown, Georgia. She moved to Chicago in 1949 to be near her sister. She found a job she enjoyed and made lifetime friends. Frances then went to work at Wesley-Jessen, where her friends played matchmaker for her and Art. They fell in love in 1960 and married in 1961. They enjoyed working in the yard and garden, on the house, ballroom dancing, and enjoyed some traveling after retirement. Frances was always involved in the Presbyterian Church, in Oak Park, Illinois, and in Laurel, MS after her and Art retired here in 1992. She enjoyed Bible Study, Circle, and teaching children's Sunday School. She volunteered at The Crisis Pregnancy Center for many years, and loved filling shoeboxes with her grandson, Jonas Patrick, every year for Operation Christmas Child. She was preceded in death by her husband and love for 51 years, Arthur F. Hogan and is survived by her children; Ronald (Mary) May of Calhoun, GA, Lyn Brosch of Elk Grove, Illinois, Mark (Valerie) Hogan of Itasca, Illinois, and Donna Hogan of Heidelberg, MS; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren (along with many other special children she loved and called her Grandma too).
Frances had special ladies to help care for her the last few years, she loved them as family as they love her. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts. We also want to thank the sweet ladies at Comfort Care Hospice. God blessed us with these ladies.
A memorial service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Laurel, MS, on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Visitation with family will be at 9 a.m. and the memorial service will follow at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Frances can be made to Samaritan's Purse, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or Westminster Presbyterian Church.
