Marie Jones, 72, of Church St. died Saturday November 25, 2017 at her residence after a battle with cancer. She was born September 13, 1945 daughter of the late Merton and Alice Jones. An area resident for many years, she enjoyed sewing and cooking. She loved the beauty of nature as expressed by the Catskill Mountains, and could be found perusing yard sales on the weekends.
Surviving are her sons Raymond and his wife Vicki Hall of Haines Falls, and Charles Hall of Accord. Nine grandchildren and eight great grand children , five sisters and four brothers also survive. She was predeceased by her daughter Rebecca Gibbs.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 5pm at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. Phoenicia with Fr. Raphael Iannone officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4 to 5pm prior to the service. You may share a memory with the family on Mar...[more]
