spent about 28 years of their married life. Marty trusted Christ at a young age and served in various positions in several churches throughout her life. She most recently attended Brimfield Evangelical Free Church in Brimfield, IL. Close to Marty and Willie's heart these past four years, has been Faith Bible Camp in Yates City, where they live and have served since moving back to the Midwest. Those who knew Marty knew she was passionate about her faith and her belief in Jesus. Her favorite Bible verses include Proverbs 3:5-6, which her desire was for everyone to "Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding. In ALL your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight!" Left to cherish Marty's memory are her husband Willie; her daughter Sheri (Joe) Olson of Avon, IL; two sons, Doug (Karen) Meyer of N. Las Vegas, NV, and Kirk (Tammy) Meyer of Manhattan, KS; four grandchildren, Sierra, Dylon, Katie and Kallie Meyer; her dog, Poliana; nine siblings, Judy Knudsen, Ramona Eggum, Tom (Sarah) Eggum, Rachel (Robert) Cinader, Joan (John) Skogen, Rick (Marisol) Eggum, Kelly (Rosemary) Austin, Shane Austin and Dane Austin, one sister-in-law, Frances Meyer, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother-in-law (Gary Meyer) and a nephew, Gary Knudsen, Jr. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Brimfield Evangelical Free Church in Brimfield, IL, with an hour visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Pastor Don Blasing and David Hartwig will be officiating. Memorials may be given in memory of Marty to Faith Bible Camp, Yates City, IL. A memorial service and burial of ashes will also be held in Lakota, Iowa at a later date.
