George Elwood Swick Jr., age 90, went home to his Lord and Savior on December 5, 2017. George was born November 8, 1927 to Hildegarde (Ranberg) and George Elwood Swick in Jackson, Michigan. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Marianne (Ullrich) Swick and their children: Randall G. (Sandra) Swick of Coeur D'Alene, ID, Donald E. (Leanne) Swick of Norton Shores, and Barbara A. (Craig) Mosher of Elk Rapids; 7 grandchildren: Jennifer (Michael) Cihak, Amanda (Scott) Rosselott, Lindsay (Terrell) Hannah, Katherine Swick, Allison (David) Mason, Erin Mosher, and Joshua Mosher; and great-grandchildren: Rylee and Jackson Cihak, Camden and Oliver Rosselott, and baby Roman Hannah due in February; and sister-in-law, Norma Ullrich. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Swick and brother-in-law, Robert Ullrich. George served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps and the U.S. Air Force. es. George and Marianne were married June 20, 1953 in Belleville, Illinois. They lived in Jackson, MI, Springfield, IL, Edina, MN, and came to Muskegon in 1972 where he worked at Bennett Pump until his retirement in 1990. George's family and faith were the heart of his life. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and had served as an Elder and Deacon. His family is grateful for the care and compassion he received at Seminole Shores Assisted Living Center and from Harbor Hospice. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 28, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jim Rausch officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, the Harbor Hospice Foundation, or First Presbyterian Church.
