Obituary of John Lewis

John S. Lewis, 71, of Muscatine, passed away on December 8, 2017, at Genesis East Campus.  Family memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2017, at Lutheran Living.  There will be no visitation.  The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for John's arrangements and his family.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of John. John Stevens Lewis was born on November 26, 1946, in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Wilbert Spencer and Alma Marie (Hindbaugh) Lewis.  On Novmeber 19, 2005, John was united in marriage to Tammy Maxfield in Las Vegas.  John worked at Lewis Brothers Inc. and GPC.  He was a member of the Shooting Stars and enjoyed making knives, and going to flea markets with his wife.

John was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; Alfred, Roy, Charles, Russell, Delmar and Donald Lewis and one sister, Viola Martin.
