Dixie Lee Taylor, 67, of Iowa City, formerly of Keokuk, died at 6:00 AM, Tuesday, May 2, 2007, at Windmill Manor in Iowa City. Mrs. Taylor was born February 3, 1940, in East Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Newell A. and Maxine M. Leake Bowers. She was married to Fred Moyes, Sr., in June, 1957 and later married DeWitt Taylor. She lived in the Keokuk and surrounding area until moving to Iowa City three years ago. She was a nurse's aid and had worked for Lee County Home Health and for Montebello Manor in Hamilton for 15 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren. They were the center of her life. She collected Indian artifacts and enjoyed horses and their beauty. She is survived by seven children, John Moyes and his wife, Rhonda, of Grinnell, Iowa, Debra Little and her husband, Cole, of LaHarpe, Illinois, Mark A. Moyes and his wife, Regina, of Plymouth, Illinois; Fritz B. Moyes and his wife, Cindy, of North Liberty, Iowa, Phil A. Moyes and his wife, Rocky, of Ft. Madison, Iowa, Theresa L. grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents. Memorial services were held Saturday, May 5, 2007, at DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk. Memorials may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital.
