Cary Stafford Wynne, 30, passed away on December 9. He was born on April 16, 1987, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He grew up in Zionsville, IN and graduated from Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School in 2005. He attended Xavier University and the University of San Diego, expecting to graduate with a degree in finance in August, 2018. In between his college studies, Cary served honorably as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps (Third Battalion, Fourth Marines). He deployed to Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, where he participated in 250 combat missions and received numerous medals, ribbons and citations. Cary is survived by his parents, Robert and Kathy Wynne of Zionsville, IN, his brother Robby, his sister Georgia, his very significant other Christina Parra, his maternal grandmother, Ida Avery, his paternal grandparents, John and Barbara Wynne, close aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to list and his special and beloved dog, Roman. nts would find him hiking, camping or exploring the woods. Cary's calling will be held at Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel (740 East 86th Street, Indianapolis) on Friday, December 15, from 4-8 PM. A service for Cary will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, December 16, at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church (1402 W Main St, Carmel, IN). Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Cary would have wanted memorial tax deductible donations to be made to The Camping and Education Foundation's Veterans Scholarship (to help sons or daughters of servicemen who are currently on active duty or sons or daughters of servicemen who were killed or wounded while on active duty experience Camp Kooch-i-Ching or Camp Ogichi Daa Kwe).
