Jacqueline Humes

Jacqueline "Jackie" Humes, 71, of Miami, FL went home to the Lord on December 16, 2017. Born and raised in Miami, FL she was a proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, class of 1966. Jackie was a social butterfly and never met a stranger. Residing in the same neighborhood for many years, she was a mother figure to many children including her nieces and nephews. Having a maternal instinct and a great passion for children, she chose a career as a child caregiver. Jackie is survived by her siblings, Alice Akins, Gladys Johnson, Johnnie Humes, Amenda Hall, and Joyce Wright; her nieces and nephews, Kyle Akins, Danette Smith, Demetria Samuel, Wanda Major-Crawford, Camille McKinney, Michael Humes, Kamala Wright and Kyna Wright; along with a host of extended family and many dear friends.
