Geraldine Phyllis Johnson, 87, of Chadwick, Illinois formerly of Keokuk, Iowa, died Monday morning, April 14, 2008 at her daughter's home in Chadwick, Illinois.
Mrs. Johnson was born December 21, 1920 in Wilcox, Illinois the daughter of George J. and Pearl Amon Batley. She married Paul I. Johnson on February 25, 1950. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1998.
She had lived in Keokuk since 1949 then moved to Chadwick, Illinois in 2006. She worked at Keokuk Area Hospital in the dietary department. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Keokuk, Iowa. She loved to watch birds and squirrels and enjoyed word find puzzles. Most of all she loved being with her family and love the Lord dearly.
She is survived by One daughter, Phyllis P. Zell and her husband Michael of Chadwick, Illinois

She was preceded in death by parents, husband, two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were held at Friday, April 18, at DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk, Iowa with Pastor Josh Jensen officiating. Burial was in Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa.
