Kathleen McCulley

Kathleen Anna McCulley, 82, of Keokuk, died at 12:35 PM Sunday, August 17, 2008, at Keokuk Area Hospital. Mrs. McCulley was born October 3, 1925 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, the daughter of Levi G. and Ida Marie Cunningham Hoovler. She was married to James Halden McCulley on May 1, 1965, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2005. Kathleen received her education at Western Michigan College and Ohio State University. She worked as an occupational therapist for 43 years. She moved to Keokuk with Jim in the mid 1960's. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Chapter IG, P.E.O. Sisterhood. Kathleen was a devoted and tireless worker for the church and a supportive member of P.E.O. She had also been a member of King's Daughters and a bridge club. Kathleen is survived by a daughter, Kathy Lee Davis of Stillwater, Oklahoma; a grandson, James Matthew Davis of Hamilton, Illinois; a granddaughter, Jodie Lyn Barker of Paragould, Arkansas; five great grandchildren, Matthew James Davis, Andrew Michael Davis, Kaitlyn Michelle Davis, Nathan Joshua Barker and Justin Troy Hinson. morial services were held Friday, August 22, 2008, at Trinity United Methodist Church with Dr. Emmanuel Dass officiating. Inurnment was in Keokuk National Cemetery. A P.E.O memorial service was held. Memorials may be made to P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund or Trinity United Methodist Church.
