David Williams

David L. Williams I, 47, of Keokuk, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, September 1, 2008. David was born in Keokuk, Iowa, on October 19, 1960, to Dean and Clarita Langston Williams. He graduated from Lincoln Tech in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1981. David married Lori Lynn Hatfield in 1984, and was the father of three children. He was an excellent mechanic who devoted many years of service to Sill Motors and later to Jim Baier Motors in Keokuk, first as a mechanic and then as service manager. The last several years, David had worked as a freelance mechanic and general handyman who took pleasure in doing things for others, always ready to lend a hand in solving a problem whether it be for family, friends or acquaintances. David was a selflessly devoted and beloved father and brother and a dear friend to many. He will be greatly missed. David is survived by three children, David L. Williams II of Galesburg, Illinois, Amanda J. Williams of Keokuk and Devan J. Williams of LaPlata, Missouri; a sister, Leah D. Williams of Keokuk; a brother, Mark D.
