Doris E. "De" Steffen-McLaughlin 67, of Palmyra, Missouri, died Saturday afternoon, September 19, 2009, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
Doris was born January 1, 1942 in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Jennie Haage Steffen. She was married to Dave Walters and then later married Glenn McLaughlin on January 14, 2003. He survives. She lived in Keokuk most of her life and then lived in Palmyra, Missouri, the last 4 years. She was employed as a production worker for Shellor-Globe, now Henniges Automotive, for 20 years. She enjoyed decorating, gardening, bird watching and feeding the birds.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn McLaughlin of Palmyra, Missouri; Two daughters, Stephanie Anderson and her husband, John, of Argyle, Iowa; Kimberly Walter Boecker and her husband, Tony, of Keokuk, Iowa; five grandchildren, Faith and Dalton Boecker; Tiffany Brotherton, Richie and Daniel Wilkerson; two brothers, James Steffen and Donald Steffen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a one brother, Jerry.
