Marie Hall

Marie Hall, 90, of Keokuk, Iowa, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 5:30 a.m. at Lexington Square in Keokuk, Iowa. She was born on July 9, 1920 in Kahoka, Missouri the daughter of Henry and Anna Flora Young Kay, Sr. She married Ralph Hall, Sr., in 1934 in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death. She lived in the Keokuk area since 1929. She worked at Swift & Company for several years but she was always a full time mother and grandmother and cared for all her loved ones. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, spending time with family. She enjoyed watching golf and Wheel of Fortune. Marie was known by all as "Grandma" She is survived by three children Helen Drummond and her husband Bud of Farmington, Iowa; Margaret Norvell of Keokuk, Iowa; Frank Hall and his wife Joan of Wayland, Missouri; thirty-nine grandchildren; fifty-nine great grandchildren, thirty-four great-great- grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Dottie Hall of Keokuk, Iowa; four brothers, Henry Kay Sr. of Keokuk, Iowa; Robert "Bob" Kay of Keokuk, Iowa; Jack Kay of Keokuk, Iowa; Doug Kay of Burlington, Iowa; many nieces and nephews. Hall, Sr.; two sons, Pete and Ralph Jr.; one daughter, Shirley Allsup; four brothers, Billie Kay, Chester Kay, Lawrence Kay and Lester Kay; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Funeral service were held Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at DeJong's Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Sanders officiating. Burial followed at Scandinavian Cemetery rural Keokuk, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the family.
