Isabel I. Kitson-Bishop, age 90, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 10:28 a.m. Monday, December 26, 2011 at her home.Born October 7, 1921, in St. Joseph County, IN, she was the daughter of Marvin and Pearl (Enders) Odiorne. She spent her childhood in St. Joseph County. On March 10, 1942 she married Monroe Kitson, in Goshen.She and her husband raised their family on a farm near Tri-Lakes where they resided for many years before moving to Columbia City.She and Monroe were married for 51 years before he passed away in November, 1993.She married J. Robert Bishop May 25, 1996 at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, Columbia City.She and Mr. Bishop lived at Stanton Lake, Leesburg, IN from 1996-2000 until he passed away.After the death of Mr. Bishop, she returned to Columbia City where she was the first resident of Deer Chase Addition. A homemaker, she also worked for Blue Bell and Roma's Smart Shop in Columbia City.Her memberships included St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, where she served as church treasurer for many years, Whitley County Homemakers and Farm Bureau Association.
