Rosemary L. Lowen, 78 of Columbia City passed away at 11:00 p.m. Monday at Millers Merry Manor Nursing Home, Columbia City. She was born on May 5, 1933 in Muncie, IN the daughter of Kenneth W. and Edrie M. (Russell) Carney. She attended South Side High School, Fort Wayne. She married Howard E. Lowen, Sr. in Fort Wayne on October 4, 1952. She and her family moved from Fort Wayne to Columbia City in 1967. She was a homemaker and member of the United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Howard E. Lowen, Sr., Columbia City; 2 sons, Howard E. (Jody) Lowen, Jr., Columbia City and Jeffery L. (Suzanne) Lowen, Punta Gorda, FL; daughter in law, Gloria Lowen, Columbia City; borther Michael (Carol) Carney, Fort Wayne; 5 grandchildren, Taylor (Britt) Lowen, Columbia City, Nathan Lowen, Indianapolis, Gabriel Lowen, Columbia City, Naomi Lowen, Columbia City and Wyatt Lowen, FL and one great grand daughter, Harker Renee Lowen, Columbia City. She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Kevin M. Lowen, sister, Sandra Ross and brother, Kenneth Carney.
