ROBERT "BOB" DAVID STANLEY

ROBERT BOB DAVID STANLEY, age 86, of Columbia City, IN passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Parkview Oaks, Columbia City, IN. Born on December 15, 1926 in Arcola, IN he was the son of Roy Cuppy Stanley and Ruth B. (Besson) Stanley. He was a graduate of Washington Center High School in 1944 and served in the Navy. On October 20, 1956 he married Virginia L. Kyler. Bob was a machinist at Dana and retired in 1989 and was a Whitley County Veterans Service Officer for 17 years. He was a member of First Church of God Columbia City and served as Precinct Committeeman of the Whitley County Democratic Party. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Virginia L. Stanley; children, Lori Stanley Boggs of Columbia City, Ruth Stanley of South Whitley, IN, and John Stanley of Columbia City; 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret (Charles) Richard of South Whitley, Charlotte (Nathan) Turnbow of Churubusco, IN; brothers, Charles Stanley of Columbia City, John (Roberta) Stanley of Goshen, IN, Bill (Sally) Stanley of Ft.
