LARRY L. GOSS

Larry L. Goss, age 81, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at his residence.Born on January 14, 1932 in Rochester, IN, he was the son of Raymond and Alma (Rosborg) Goss. He was born and raised in Rochester and graduated from Rochester Joint High School with the class of 1951. After graduation he proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years and spent one year in Korea.He was awarded the Good Conduct, the Korean Service, and the United Nations Service Medals for his service.He married his wife Mary Jo Thompson, in Rochester, on April 12, 1953. Larry lived in various places prior to 1968, when he moved to Columbia City.He worked for the Schultz Brothers Company for 42 years, as store manager, then later with Ace Hardware and Reelcraft for several years.He also served on the city planning commission and the Chamber of Commerce committees.He was a member of the Columbia City Elks Lodge #1417 and the American Legion Post #98.
