Roberta J Meagher

Roberta J. Meagher, 75, of Columbia City, Ind. passed away Monday, August 4, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born on September 25, 1938 in Wolf Lake, she was the daughter of Marshall and Doris (Mace) Wolfe. Roberta graduated from Columbia City High School with the class of 1956 and received an Associates Degree from Virginia Beach Community College.On January 1, 1956 she married Larry W. Meagher.She had worked at Ralston Purina. She was a member of the Columbia City VFW, American Legion and Eagles. She was a lifelong avid reader who loved to shop and go to the movies, Florida and the oceans. She was known for her wit and great sense of humor. She enjoyed spending time with her family members. She will be remembered as one that loved to dance and being the life of the party. Survivors include her daughters, Tamara L. (David) Dyson of Columbia City, Sonja L. (Jake) Wink of Toronto, Canada and Katheia L. Tucker of Atlanta, Ga.; son, Michael L Meagher of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Sally Souder of Saint Louis, Mo. and Lana (Richard Hull) Hendry of Columbia City; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and husban...[more]
