Venice and Sharon began spending winters at Snow to Sun in Weslaco, TX in 2007 and knew everyone in their park. Venice had a very outgoing personality and he never met a stranger. It would literally take him an hour to check the mail, because he had to visit each neighbor on his way to and from the mailbox. Venice was a loving father and grandfather. His passion in life besides his wife and children, was anything that had a motor. He loved cars and enjoyed restoring them. He used to buy old wrecked vehicles and restore them to help the family members. His pride and joy was his 1972 Chevy pick up that he restored. Venice loved anything to do with motors, whether it was riding them, fixing them up, or just admiring them. Forever bowtie (Chevy) It is probably no surprise that he and Sharon traveled all over the US on their motorcycles, from Las Vegas, Reno and the Golden Gate Bridge. Venice is preceded in death by his parents, his step-son, Steve Klunder, his brothers, Vernon, Virgil, and Victor Fasse, and his sister, Violet Bock. He is survived by his children, Rick Fasse (Vicki) of Urbandale, IA, Sandy Johnson (John Stagman) of Marshalltown, IA, Tom Fasse (Jessi) of Shellrock, IA, and Deb Dunham (Mitch) of Webster City, IA, step-sons, Ken Klunder (Jan) of Portland, OR, Jeff Klunder (Shirl) of Lexington, NC, and step-daughter in law, Kristen Klunder, 14 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
